ISEA 2023 SYMBIOSIS

Ataraxie is the immersive installation of Maxime Houot, member of Collectif Coin, artistic studio based in Grenoble. Ataraxie means ‘peace of mind’, this installation proposes us to question what this might mean in a changed and still changing post-pandemic world. A row of lasers fills the space with beams of red light that first form simple crosses, before building up complex structures.

This exhibition brings together the imaginations and questions shared by the international artists selected for ISEA2023 and young people from Garges-lès-Gonesse accompanied in workshop, on the more specific subject of our relationship with non-human living beings.

Le Cube Garges invites you to discover a selection of films by ISEA2023 laureates: Disnovation.org, Lina Dovydėnaitė and Dasha Ilina. Three artistic creations offer a diverse range of perspectives on the role of technology in our lives, from speculative futures to critical reflections on our present reality. Through these films, we are invited to engage in a dialogue about the possibilities and limitations of technology, and to consider how we can create a more symbiotic relationship between humans and machines.
